LaVey attempts to shatter the classical depiction of Satanism as a cult of black mass and child sacrifice. As the smoke clears, he leads us through a surprisingly logical argument in favour of a life focused on self-indulgence. The Satanic Bible is less bible and more philosophy (with a few rituals thrown in to keep us entertained), but this philosophy is the backbone of a religion that, until LaVey entered the scene, was merely a myth of the Christian church
(Clicking on the pictures in this post will enlarge them for better viewing).
There is a commonality among all cults. This commonality is their attack on such accepted Christian beliefs as the Trinity, the deity of Christ, His atonement for our sins, salvation being through faith by grace alone without works, the beauty of what the cross signifies, etc. Like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormonism also has an aversion to the cross (as does Satan since that’s where he was defeated). So to direct the masses’ attention away from the only thing that saves them (the finished work that was done upon that cross) these cults come up with all sorts of ways to defame the cross.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses deny the cross all together claiming Jesus died on a “torture stake.” But they don’t stop there. They claim the cross where our Lord died to redeem His people is a pagan symbol!
The Mormons, however, simply downplay the cross. Because they have absolutely no comprehension of the beauty of the cross and its role in our salvation, they think it’s a foolish symbol. Their usual argument goes like this: “If Jesus was killed by a gun would you wear a gun on a chain around your neck?” They fail to understand that Jesus willingly laid down His life (Mark 10:45) and that it was the most beautiful act of love for His people.
Mormonism takes away from the cross by teaching that the most important part of Jesus’ sacrifice occurred in the Garden of Gethsemane when He sweat blood; not on the cross. Again, this diverts the attention away from the very thing that defeated Satan to something that did not have an active role in our salvation. The sweating of blood is not what saves those who put their trust in Christ. It was the sacrifice on the cross!
But Mormonism doesn’t leave it’s people without symbols. Even though Mormon wards, stakes and temples are completely absent of crosses, it’s chock full of occultic and Masonic symbols, even on the holy underwear that its members wear for protection.
Most disturbing though, is Mormonism’s blatant use of the inverted Satanic pentagram.
This same symbol is used by Anton La Vey:
And adorns his Satanic Bible:
Without question it is an occultic symbol which has no business being on anything “holy.” But that doesn’t seem to deter Mormons. As you will see below, the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are uncomfortable with the cross, feel right at home with the Satanic inverted pentagram!
Here are inverted pentagrams in their visitor’s center in the North Temple Square in Salt Lake City:
Here is the inverted pentagram on their South Temple Eagle Gate at State Street in Salt Lake City:
Here’s the inverted pentagram on their History & Art Museum across from the Temple Square in Salt Lake City:
Most disturbing, however, is that they also place this universally known symbol of Satan on their most “sacred” of buildings, their Temple in Salt Lake City:
I would really have to be conditioned and indoctrinated since birth to “worship” in a Temple built by hands of men (where consequently God does not dwell - Acts 7:48, Acts 17:24 and 1 Corinthians 3:9, 16) that was covered in occultic, Masonic and Satanic symbols. How about you?

|Revelation 13:18 says the following: |
|This beast, regarded by some as the Anti-Christ described by John, is thus related to the number 666, one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible. |
Curiously enough, if you take the sine of 666º, you get -0.80901699, which is one-half of negative phi, or perhaps what one might call the "anti-phi."
The trigonometric relationship of sin 666º to phi is based on an isosceles triangle with a base of phi and sides of 1. When this triangle is enclosed in a circle with a radius of 1, we see that the lower line, which has an angle of 306º on the first rotation and 666º on the second rotation, has a sine equal to one-half negative phi.
In this we see the unity of phi divided into positive and negative, analogous perhaps to light and darkness or good and evil. Could this "sine" be a "sign" as well?
In addition, 666 degrees is 54 degrees short of the complete second circle and when dividing the 360 degrees of a circle by 54 degrees you get 6.66... The other side of a 54 degree angle in a right angle is 36 degrees and 36 divided by 54 is .666.
Phi appears throughout creation, and in every physical proportion of the human body. In that sense it is the number of mankind, as the mysterious passage of Revelation perhaps reveals.

I don’t believe there is one end-all way to answer this question and it depends greatly on what aspect of each genre you are measuring.
Mortality rate, for example. Metal is leaps and bounds ahead of hip-hop when it comes to the extermination of its own fans. Not a single week goes by that I don’t hear about some metal club or concert venue where show-goers are trampling each other at the entrance, at the exit, in line for the pisser, blasting each other’s junk in the mosh pit, or burning the building down where the show takes place. The fires usually start after the emergency exits are so choked with dead metal-fan corpses that the women, children and Somali refugees are unable to escape. More buildings have been destroyed by fire as a result of metal concerts than for any other reason in the history of mankind. A lot of people don’t know that.
Rap fans, on the other hand, are the reason that hip-hop artists are about to be added to the endangered species list. Is there another genre of music out there whose fans are more responsible for the deaths of its artists? And just to clarify, I count any talentless hack who can’t get a record contract and blows some artist away in a drive-by as a fan. The one thing you can say about rap violence, though, is at least it is usually intentional and targeted at one individual, or in some cases, one individual and his crew. Sometimes a few bystanders are unlucky enough to stop a few caps with their large intestine, but usually that happens outdoors in a well ventilated area instead of choking off emergency exits with rank, smelly metal bodies.
Talent-wise I think it’s a push. Both have a few really good artists, and a whole lot of really, really, really, really shitty ones. I don’t think I’m exaggerating, but the ratio between good artists and bad is something like 1:48,562,878,214,951. And you know, I’m fine with people making bad music, since it gives them something to do where I don’t have to look at them. All I ask is that they don’t offend my ears with their aborted fetus made audible.
So what makes music good anyway? Drugs, of course. And who does more, rap or metal? Certainly rappers smoke weed by the bail, but I think the fact that they talk so much about it gives the edge to metal. Drugs are so much a part of the metal lifestyle and culture, they’re not even worth mentioning anymore. While marijuana may be a rapper’s best friend, speed, meth, coke, heroine, and basically anything else you can smoke, snort, inject, or take as a suppository are metal’s ambiguously gay uncle.
I think this is where you’re expecting me to give the final edge to one or the other. Well, I can’t really decide. So, I don’t think there is any better way to end this debate than with me getting a hand job. AAAAAAHHHHHHHH... There we go.
